Kristopher Taylor was born and raised in Independence, Missouri and is a proud alum of Music Arts Institute. He is an active clinician and guest conductor, currently serving as artistic director of the Raytown Community Choir and music director of Trinity Presbyterian Church. Previous appointments include artistic director of the award-winning Ancora Chorale and executive director of the Dome and Spire Organ Foundation. Kristopher was educated at Brigham Young University, UMKC Conservatory of Music, and The Florida State University, studying voice, jazz piano, music theory, and choral conducting. He is a nationally recognized champion of the choral folk genre and an active professional chorister and composer, holding memberships in ASCAP and the American Choral Directors Association. Kristopher is excited to join the MAI team, helping to support and grow future generations of artists and citizens.
