Yee Sik Wong

Dr. Yee Sik Wong, a native of Hong Kong, China, received her D.M.A. in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Iowa. Yee Sik holds a M.M. in Piano Performance from the Manhattan School of Music, and a B.A. in Music from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Currently, Yee Sik is a staff ballet accompanist at the Conservatory of the University of Missouri-Kansas, and a choir accompanist at St. Thomas Aquinas High School. She also accompanies ballet classes at the Artists Revealed Dance Company.

Yee Sik has been involved in the ballet field for quite a bit. She has accompanied the Tulsa Ballet and the Kansas City Ballet for a total of 15 seasons. Since 2015, Yee Sik has released 20 CDs for ballet technique classes entitled “Inside Ballet Studio.” Her doctoral thesis was entitled “The Art of Accompanying Classical Ballet Technique Classes.”

Yee Sik is also an active chamber musician and soloist, performed at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, and with the Tulsa Symphony and the Kansas City Symphony.
