Michael Pagán

Described as a “brilliant, intense” performer of jazz piano by KC Confidential and "a dynamic artist and musical force in today’s jazz world” by allaboutjazz.com, Michael Pagán has performed throughout the United States and in Europe with a long list of jazz luminaries. Well-known to Kansas City audiences, he has, during a 40-year career, appeared on 25 CDs and is also a prolific composer/arranger. Mike can be heard on well over 100 tracks on platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music and is considered one of KC’s first-call pianists. He leads the popular Kansas City based quintet Paganova and is pleased to bring his decades of teaching experience to MAI.
