Bad Weather Policy
Because Music/Arts Institute® students come from many area school districts, it is impossible to close the building based on what each district chooses to do in the event of bad weather. MAI®'s building DOES NOT CLOSE due to bad weather. Please note that each instructor (as an independent contractor) makes their own decision about whether to cancel lessons or not. If an instructor is canceling, they will make every effort to inform you of this decision, and they will contact the MAI® office. If you are uncertain, please call (836-1998) to see if your instructor has called. The office does not make inquiries to instructors, however, so it would be wise to also contact your instructor.

Also, note that MAI®'s policy is that any lesson an instructor cancels WILL be rescheduled. Any lesson canceled by the student is rescheduled at the instructor's discretion. Private lesson contracts are set up for a specific number of lessons and the instructor is obligated to fulfill that contract by the end of the academic year.

General Policies
Music/Arts Institute® business phones (836-1998) are available Monday - Friday for general information, financial inquiries and messages for instructors.

Students will be assigned an instructor and/or class, and time and place for instruction, after admittance through a placement interview/audition. (Interviews are arranged through the office)

MAI® operates on an academic year basis. An enrollment contract must be completed before sessions begin. The student must be committed to receive and pay for all lessons.

Non-Refundable Fees
Non-refundable Enrollment Fee per academic year (September - August) - $26.00.
Administrative Fee per contract - $50.00
Student Handbook Fee - $5.00

Tuition is based on the total year and varies according to the type and level of instruction, whether private, group, or class. Tuition charge is subject to change without notice.

Payment
Full tuition is due before the first lesson (Mastercard/Visa accepted for full academic year payment) or a tuition installment plan may be requested of MAI®. If payment plan is approved, a service charge is assed to the upaid balance and:
First payment is due before the first lesson. Subsequent payments are due without office billing.
Fifteen dollar ($15.00) per month late fee will be added for payments received in the office
