The Young MAIsterSingers, Music/Arts' outstanding children's choir will perform the National Anthem at the Sprint Center on Friday, October 17. Come enjoy the children and stay for the game!

McCoy Elementary opened in 1914 in Independence, MO. Music/Arts Institute now occupies this building and we are hosting an Open House to celebrate the 100 years of this historic building.

Join us in the celebration on Saturday, October 11 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm. McCoy Elementary is located at 1010 South Pearl in Independence, MO 64050. An MAI Alumni Choir will join together for a once in a lifetime performance with Dr. Eph Ehly conducting the choir. This Open House/Renunion is Free and Open to the Public. Anyone who has a connection to this historic building should plan to attend and reminisce. Students who attended McCoy from 1914 to 1977 and other organizations are all welcome to attend. If your organization was ever a part of this building and would like to have a display at the event; please give us a call at 816-836-1998.

This building has connections with George Caleb Bingham Academy of the Arts as well as Shakespeare Camps, puppetry, ballet and music. Artist Keith Kavanaugh creates new work to benefit Music/Arts Institute

Keith created a spectacular "painting" using beeswax during KC Live's Art Attack segment on Friday, February 28 which will be auctioned at our annual fundraiser gala this fall. Board President Dick Wilson and Business Manager Sariah Pinick were on hand to accept the gift.
