Our outstanding faculty fosters many skills in our students: self-discipline, inquisitiveness, a desire to improve, and the tools necessary to think critically and make informed decisions.
Students at MAI have many opportunities available that aren't offered at other teaching facilities. Each teaching studio presents at least two student recitals per year, and the school offers two festivals for student participation: a Pre-Contest Festival for high school musicians in preparation for District and State Music Festival, and a school-wide "Festival MAI" for all enrolled students. These performance experiences enhance instruction and provide chances for our students to "practice the art of performance"
All lessons are one-on-one, private sessions with the exception of some Suzuki classes and other ensembles and are offered on an academic year basis. Students may enter at any time throughout the year, with prorated fees based on the number of lessons remaining.
Each of our instructors is an independent contractor, and as such, sets their own lesson fees, number of lessons taught in an academic year, and available time slots for instruction.
