Inclement Weather

Because MAI students come from many area school districts, it is impossible to close our building based on what each district chooses to do in the event of bad weather.  MAI's building DOES NOT CLOSE due to bad weather.  Each instructor (as independent contractors) may choose to cancel lessons at their discretion.  If your instructor chooses to cancel, they will make every effort to contact you.  Additionally, you may check the homepage of this site for alerts and lists of studio cancelations.  If in doubt, please contact your instructor.

Also note that MAI's policy states that any lesson an instructor cancels WILL be rescheduled.  Any lesson canceled by the student is rescheduled at the instructor's discretion.  Private lesson contracts are set for a specific number of lessons and the instructor is obligated to fulfill that contract by the end of the academic year.
