Enrollment & Financial Policies

Placement
Placement is through an interview/audition. The student is assigned an instructor, or class and a time. To schedule an interview, please call the MAI office at (816) 836-1998
Enrollment Contracts
Contracts are made between MAI and the student based on an entire academic year. The student (parent/guardian) completes the Enrollment Contract before sessions begin. The student must be committed to receiving and paying for all sessions. Continuing enrollment with pro-rated tuition allows students to enter at any time for the remaining sessions in the academic year.
Tuition and Fees
Tuition and fees are based on an academic year and vary according to the type and level of instruction, whether private, group or class. Placement/interview fee of $10.00 (applies toward enrollment fee); $16.00 enrollment fee; $50.00 Administrative fee per contract; and $5.00 Student Handbook fee.
Payment
Payment of full tuition is due before the first lesson (Master Card/Visa accepted), or a tuition payment plan may be requested. If an installment plan is approved, service charges are assessed on the unpaid balance and the following policies apply: 1) the first payment is due upon signing the contract - subsequent payments are due on the first day of the month WITHOUT OFFICE BILLING; 2) payments do not in any way reflect the number of lessons taught in a calendar month; 3) payments must BE MAILED to the MAI Office; 4) a $15.00 per month late fee will be assessed for payments received in the office after the fifth day of the month; 5) a $20.00 fee is charged for insufficient fund check returns.
