Caroline Neal - Piano/Organ
Caroline
currently teaches piano and organ at Music/Arts Institute®, the Metropolitan
Community Colleges. She accompanies the Chancel Choir and the Youth Instrumental Group as well as directs the Red Bridge Ringers (the handbell choir) at Red Bridge Christian Church. Before coming to Kansas City,
she held teaching positions at public and parochial
schools throughout Missouri and Kansas.
Ms Neal holds the degrees of Bachelor of Fine Arts in Piano Performance from Stephens College, Master of Arts in Reading Education from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and is certified to teach Vocal Music (K-12) and Special Reading in both Missouri and Kansas. She is currently completing the degree of Master of Arts in Music Education with emphasis in organ from the UMKC Conservatory of Music. She was the winner of the Gauntlett Music Scholarship for Piano Performance at Stephens College, and while attending there was the President and Secretary of Sigma Gamma Gamma.
Caroline also regularly contributes to the Music/Arts Institute® Scholarship Fund through the sale of oil and acrylic paintings. Her work may be seen throughout the Music/Arts building as well as in a number of locations throughout Metropolitan Kansas City.
Professional affiliations include: The American Guild of Organists, Missouri Music Teachers' Association, and the Kansas City Music Teachers' Association.
