Scott Hassler - Art: Painting and Drawing
After graduating from Park Hill Senior High School in 1988, winning the senior art achievement award, Scott attended the Kansas City Art Institute, graduating in 1994.While there he studied both figurative and abstract painting and drawing under Wilbur Niewald, Ron Slowinski, Michael Walling, Warren Rosser and others. He has painted and shown in local shops and galleries since 1993. In 2001 he began attending evening classes at Penn Valley Community College to do coursework in computer art and design, receiving certification in 2006. He has since done freelance graphic design and production artwork for design firms large and small throughout the Kansas City area. In 2005 he began exploring the esoteric art form of cartooning and it continues to be a fascinating and challenging subject for him. He is a member of the Kansas City Comics Creators Network.
