The Elite Guitar Program at
Music/Arts Institute®

Photo of John SvobodaThe main focus of the Elite Guitar Program is to make excellence a habit. This class is designed for beginning to advanced students, and is suited for anyone wanting to gain skill on the guitar.

The program takes the objective of learning music to a high level with more emphasis and focus on the powerful ingredients that create an effective, confident musician. There are personal and group workshops that help explore this learning, which include subjects such as how to take a great lesson, how to set and reach goals, developing strong technique through a well-balanced routine, and how to perform on stage with confidence. Goal-setting and reaching is defined, explained and exercised so students have a clear understanding of their ability to achieve. Focus, performance and expression are addressed from many angles and are combined in exercises that build one's confidence whether it be performing on stage or simply playing in front of family and friends. Great masters of the guitar are used as examples and learned from in the listening lab. From becoming aware of the possibilities in phrasing, to learning simply "how" to listen, the education gained from this listening is endless. Students, also are able to attend guest artist series' where professional artists are brought in for performance. Collectively, the value of this program is displayed through the experiences from involvement in the following subjects:
